Brittany Miller, MSW, CSWA

I am providing both telehealth and in-person services.

Are you feeling trapped in a cycle of anxiety or depression? Do you find yourself held back by self-doubt or self-criticism? These experiences can often leave us feeling isolated and powerless, hindering our ability to connect with others and live a fulfilling life.

The beginning of our work together will be centered around understanding your unique experiences and building a safe, trusting relationship. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, or simply seeking personal growth, my goal is to provide a compassionate and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your feelings and learn to embrace vulnerability.

As we move forward in the therapeutic relationship, we will work to help you break free from any rigid thought patterns or overwhelming emotions that keep you stuck. This will allow you to pursue a more enriching and satisfying life. I specialize in assisting individuals to navigate this process by using evidence-based practices, particularly Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

Inherent to all these treatments is scientifically validated skill-building. These skills can include mindfulness, self-compassion exercises, and values and goals clarification. Research shows that these practical tools can make a significant difference in your everyday life. I’ll ask you to incorporate these skills outside the therapy room and we’ll work together to find the ones that work for you. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I am committed to partnering with you to overcome barriers and make meaningful changes.

While most of the people I see struggle with anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, low self-esteem, I also have specific experience supporting sex workers, veterans and people struggling with symptoms of ADHD. I have lived experience as a queer person, a neurodiverse person and as an adoptee.
