The Portland Psychotherapy Anxiety Clinic is pleased to offer telehealth services in Oregon and Washington for children, adolescents and adults. Due to the current pandemic, we recognize the importance of providing telehealth services for those in need and are happy to be offering evidence-based treatment outside the Portland area.
For many, the idea of meeting with a therapist virtually can be disconcerting, and some may wonder, “Will I really be able to connect with a therapist online?” Fortunately, research indicates that individuals who meet with a therapist virtually feel just as connected as those who meet in person. Additionally, evidence suggests that telehealth treatment is as effective as in-person treatment for many of the disorders we treat.
Our therapists are experienced in providing treatment for the following concerns:
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder
- Hair pulling or trichotillomania
- Health anxiety
- Social Anxiety
- Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
- Tic Disorders
- Excoriation or skin picking
- Generalized Anxiety Disorder
- Panic Disorder
- Agoraphobia
- Specific Phobias
- Hoarding disorder
The treatments offered by the Portland Psychotherapy Anxiety Clinic are largely solution-focused and skills-based,which are more easily adapted to a telehealth format. Additionally, in some cases, the telehealth platform may provide you with a unique opportunity to directly address triggers or challenges in your home environment that we might not be as able to do in a traditional office setting. Using a phone app version of our videoconferencing platform, our therapists may also help you learn to more effectively deal things you struggle with outside your home.
